However the tour and Trondheim does not end here, after a refreshment at the charming and traditional cafe and restaurant Baklandet Skydsstation we head off the beaten path to one of Trondheims best kept secrets. An Eco Village within the city full of artists and creativity. Svartlamon is Norways answer to Christiania in Denmark and a cultural driving force in Trondheim for over 20 years.

Your guide is a local resident of the Svartlamon community and has access to places few visitors to Trondheim ever get to see but, really should. There are art galleries, a book store, gardens, a restaurant, a tattoo shop, a kindergarten, a free shop, a bicycle repair shop, dance studio, work shops, cultural venues, historic buildings, famous artworks, tiny homes and more.
