TRONDHEIM HIGHLIGHTS & HIDDEN SITES walking TOUR

2 Hours. In English. Begins and ends in Trondheim.

If this will be your first time in Trondheim, we highly recommend our Trondheim Highlights and Hidden Sites Walking Tour as your introduction.

The tour begins in Trondheim Torget (Trondheim Square) where you get an introduction to Olav Tryggvason and the beginnings of Norway’s first and most important (don’t tell Oslo or Bergen) capital Trondheim

We visit Nidaros Cathedral built between 1030 and 1300 and the Arch Bishops Palace where you have the option to enter for a fee or you can walk the grounds and take photos for free.
Then we head to a hidden yet in public view medieval graveyard and you come
face to face with skeletons from the middle ages.

On the way, you will see the oldest stone carving inscription in Trondheim.
We stroll over the old town bridge which has a wonderful view over the river Nid (Nidelva) which runs through fantastically brightly coloured and historic wharf buildings. This is a perfect opportunity to get in touch with your inner photographer.
Afterwards we enter one of the most charming areas in Trondheim, a wonderful neighborhood of colourful historic timber houses and cobblestone streets lined with cafes and small shops.
The tour will end in the city center, which will allows you to easily find a nice place for lunch or dinner or continue enjoying your time in Trondheim.

Once you have completed this tour, you will no longer feel like a visitor, you will feel like a local.

This tour goes ahead rain or shine every day 09-11 and 13-15 (1-3pm if you would like to have a tour outside of the normal hours, please feel free to contact us for a private tour.
